The Voices of Ashwood are a grassroot, non‑party community group in the Electoral District of Ashwood, bringing together local residents from Ashburton, Glen Iris, Ashwood, Chadstone, Mount Waverley and surrounding suburbs.
A small group of people formed the Voices of Ashwood in 2026, and the organisation was incorporated in Victoria in May 2026.
Our goal is to support a genuinely local, community‑minded independent candidate to stand for Ashwood at the next Victorian state election.
We believe our community deserves a representative who will be a strong, accountable local voice – someone who listens to residents first, not to the party machine. We are guided by core values of integrity, transparency, fairness and genuine local representation, and we expect the candidate we support to reflect these values in both words and actions.
This is a community‑led project. Through open Expressions of Interest, community conversations and volunteer involvement, we aim to identify and support a candidate who is deeply connected to the electorate and willing to work collaboratively with local people, groups and organisations to make our community stronger.
